Muscovite plates
Muscovite plates are plate-type insulating materials in which mica papers are made from high-quality raw mica ores first and then high-performance adhesives are used on mica papers which will be pressed in a high-pressure and high-temperature environment to generate excellent heat resistance, flame resistance and electrical insulation. Muscovite plates are widely used as frames in hair dryers, toasters, air warmers, ovens, rice cookers, microwave ovens, plastic heating elements and other electrical products and electric heating equipment.
Muscovite plates’ operating temperature for long-term use is 500 ℃ and the most commonly used mica plate thickness is from 0.1 to 2.0 mm; usually they are divided into hard and flexible mica plates and the biggest difference between them is that hard mica plates can not be bent and bit flexible plates can.
