Mica tubes
Mica tubes are tube-type insulating materials in which high-performance adhesives are used to bond and roll the high-quality Muscovite or Phlogopite papers to form such mica tubes. These tubes have better electrical insulation and higher mechanical strength and are suitable for the insulation of electrode rods or wire lead sleevings on all kinds of electrical appliances, motors, electric smelting furnaces and other equipment. Compared with traditional ceramic tubes, mica tubes have such features as easily controlled wall thickness and ellipticity, uniform discharge, and low breakability, so they are ideal substitutes for some ceramic tubes.
Mica tubes are classified into Muscovite tubes with a temperature resistance of 500℃ and Phlogopite tubes with a temperature resistance of 800℃. The lengths of our mica tubes are between 5 and 1,000mm and their inner diameters are between 3 and 300mm with stable quality. Mica tubes of special specifications can also be made per customers’ drawings, e.g, slotting, bonding, etc.
