Mica tapes
Fire-resistant Phlogopite tapes are compounded of Phlogopite micas and glass fiber clothes with silicone resin as their adhesive; they are mainly used as fire-resistant insulating materials between cables’ core lines and sheaths. SM Series mica tapes’ temperature resistance is higher than 800 °C and fire resistance experiments show that breakdown will surely not occur within three hours under the conditions of 800 °C and 1500V for cables enveloped by SM-J-GS mica tapes. SM Series mica tapes have good flexibility and high tensile strength and the length of a single roll can be up to 2,000 meters.
Fire-resistant Phlogopite tapes have excellent fire resistance, acid and alkali resistance, anti-corona, anti-radiation, non-flammability and high heat resistance. Cables that use fire-resistant mica tapes in their heat-resistant plastic sheaths will reduce and prevent the generation and escape of poisonous smoke and gas. They are widely used in high-rise buildings, underground railways, underground streets, large-scale power plants, cable factories, and other important enterprises.
